Who Operates This Website
TruckLegalFirm.com publishes educational guides about commercial truck accidents in Florida. TruckLegalFirm.com is owned and operated by Shiner Law Group, P.A., a Florida personal injury law firm, and every inquiry submitted through this website goes to the firm. No other law firm receives information submitted here, and no other firm is featured, compared, or linked anywhere on the site.
We state that plainly and at the top of this page on purpose. TruckLegalFirm.com is the firm's own website, published under its own name. A site that presents itself as a neutral directory while quietly routing every inquiry to one firm is misleading, and we do not want anyone to be unclear about who is on the other end of the contact form.
This website is attorney advertising.
Pending review. The wording on this page describes the site as it currently operates. It has not yet been reviewed by the firm’s Bar counsel under the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, and it should be before launch.
Who Writes and Reviews the Content
Guides are written by the site’s editorial team and reviewed by Shiner Law Group, P.A. Each page carries a byline naming the firm and the date of the most recent review, and an address for reporting an error.
Review is attributed to the firm rather than to an individual lawyer. It means the legal statements on the page have been checked for accuracy against the sources they cite. It does not make the page legal advice, and reading it does not create an attorney-client relationship.
We work to keep these pages current and consistent. Florida statutes are amended and federal regulations are revised; if you find something here that is out of date or wrong, email joseph@shinerlawgroup.com and we will correct it.
Editorial Standards
We hold ourselves to a few rules that are easy to state and, judging by the rest of this corner of the internet, apparently hard to follow:
- Every legal claim names its source. Florida statutes are cited by section number and federal regulations by CFR part, so you can check them rather than take our word for it.
- Statistics name the agency they come from — FMCSA, NHTSA, FLHSMV, or Florida Highway Patrol — or they are removed.
- We do not publish case values or settlement figures. What a claim is worth depends on facts a general web page cannot assess, and any site quoting you a number without reviewing your records is guessing. We would rather say so than guess.
- We do not promise outcomes. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome, and nobody can tell you what yours will be.
- We do not invent quotes. Commentary attributed to an attorney is either provided by that attorney or it is not published.
- We say when something is uncertain. Where an answer depends on facts we do not have, the guide says so rather than filling the gap with confident-sounding filler.
What This Site Is Useful For
The guides are written for someone who has just been in a truck crash, or whose family member has, and who is trying to understand what happened and what to do next. They cover how each type of crash occurs, who may be responsible, what evidence matters and how quickly it disappears, what injuries these collisions produce, and the Florida rules that govern a claim.
They are not a substitute for advice about your own situation. General information cannot account for the facts of a specific crash, and the most consequential decisions after a truck accident — whether to give a statement, whether to accept an offer, when to act on evidence — turn on exactly those facts.
